"I am a 6th-year student of Kemerovo State Medical University. Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming a doctor. And I decided to come to Russia, namely to the beautiful city of Kemerovo, literally in the summer before entering. Real professionals work at our university, the training here is very strong! And I really like studying here and living in such a beautiful city. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the entire staff of the international department, not only as an international student, but also as an ordinary person, for the warm welcome and conscientious attitude towards all international students. The geography of students is very wide, from Moscow to Vladivostok, one can say that all of Russia is represented. A large contingent is also made up of international students. Thus, representatives of such countries as Azerbaijan, Venezuela, Georgia, Yemen, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Congo, Korea, Mongolia, Nigeria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic and Ecuador study at our university. Thank you for everything!"
"I am a monitor of foreign students living in the campus. Russia is one of those countries that is very hospitable for foreign students. It is also a beautiful country with a great history and culture. I have always wanted to come to Russia. Airplanes fascinate me. The profession of an aeronautical engineer gives you the opportunity to work anywhere in the world and get new impressions - this is the main reason that pushed me to choose my specialty. For me, the most difficult thing about studying is the Russian language. If you do not understand Russian well, you will face a lot of problems during your studies. So, having good knowledge in Russia is a must. Apart from everything else, the teachers are very friendly..... Basically, what I like about studying is having access to theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge. We have a large museum full of aircraft engines where we can learn about engines not only by just reading books but also by exploring them in real life. It was very difficult to get used to life in Russia for the first couple of months. But it got easier with time. People here are very friendly and welcoming. You can ask for help on the street, in shops or anywhere and people will be happy to help. That's the only thing I like most about here."
1. Why did I decide to study in Russia? Why did you choose your specialty? Firstly, I feel safe in Russia, secondly, the importance of the Russian language, it has opened me a lot of opportunities! How did I end up in Russia? When I learned about this opportunity, I thought: "Why shouldn't I try?" And everything worked out - that's how I got to ISTU!
2. What is the most difficult thing about studying? I don't see anything difficult, if a student tries, then nothing is impossible, the most important thing is to try to do all the assignments on time so that debts do not accumulate at the end of the session.
3. What do you like about studying? High quality of teaching! 4. How difficult was it to get used to life in a foreign country? In fact, the first days were a little difficult: firstly, the weather - it's cold in Russia. Secondly, it's getting to know each other - finding a common language (for me, this is always difficult).
4. Do I like Irkutsk? Why exactly? What don't I like? I liked Irkutsk right away! I don't know other regions of Russia, but people here are very kind and responsive! ISTU gave me a lot: education and friends who can support us at any time. I don't regret choosing ISTU!
How did my classmates greet me? Is it easy to find a common language with them? They greeted me well! There is a bit of a problem with the language barrier, but it wasn't hard to find a common language
